The Industrial Engineering program focuses on developing new models and methods for the study, organization, implementation and control of systems in the industrial and service sectors.
It is based on the curriculum of Istanbul Technical University (ITU). Students master an interdisciplinary program covering areas such as system analysis, data analytics, artificial intelligence, production and project management.
The primary goal is to train engineers capable of integrating technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, robotics and automation into the business processes required for digital transformation.
Students receive an interdisciplinary education that combines the analytical approach of technical sciences with the management perspective of human relations and social sciences to enhance efficiency in production and management processes.
Here is the English version formatted in the same clean, modern, and website-ready structure:
We live in an era of rapidly changing technology—a period where resources are limited but competition knows no limits. Industrial Engineering, which specializes in finding the "best," "most efficient," and "smartest" solutions within these complex systems, is considered one of the most important professions in the modern world.
Industrial Engineering, traditionally known for the optimization of production processes, now stands at the heart of digital transformation.
By leveraging advanced technologies such as machine learning, data science, artificial intelligence, and digital twins, this field:
🔹 Not only addresses current challenges, but also predicts future failures (predictive maintenance).
🔹 Enhances supply chain resilience against crises.
🔹 Streamlines processes across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, finance, and technology.
As the Industrial Engineering program at the Türkiye-Azerbaijan University, our goal is to train the engineers of the future—innovative, globally-minded leaders who not only manage systems, but also possess analytical thinking skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
If you aim to find order amidst complexity, optimize systems, and make the world more efficient by integrating technology with processes, you are in the right address. TAU Industrial Engineering Program instructors will guide you on this journey toward becoming a professional in your field.
Türkiye-Azerbaijan University’s Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program offers students an education meeting universal standards for the design, improvement, and implementation of production and service systems.
Our program implements an interdisciplinary approach by combining specialized knowledge and skills in mathematics, physics, and social sciences with engineering analysis and design methods.
| Target Overview | |
| Efficiency & Quality | To train engineers who develop solutions to enhance efficiency and quality in industrial processes. |
| Modern Data Tools | To equip our students with modern tools for data analytics (Python, R), operations research, and machine learning. |
| Skilled Human Resources | To provide the skilled human resources required by regional and global industrial sectors, particularly in Turkey and Azerbaijan. |

It teaches students fundamental laws of nature—such as mechanics, thermodynamics, and wave mechanics—through experimentation; this enables industrial engineers to grasp the mechanical limits and operating principles of automation systems, robotic arms, and physical workstations on production lines.
By providing practical experience in materials science, electrochemistry, and energy conversions, it assists engineers in analyzing raw material properties in manufacturing processes, sustainable material selection, and the optimization of chemical processes regarding efficiency and waste.
