The “AI in
Agrilculture” startup project of TAU Computer Engineering students Omar
Bashirli, Omar Sabzaliyev, Suleyman Salmanli and AzTU Mechatronics and Robotics
Engineering student Ismayil Baba is mainly dedicated to the application of
artificial intelligence in the field of agriculture. According to the project,
computer-trained artificial intelligence detects and classifies plant diseases,
analyzes the risk and probability of spread, and provides treatment
recommendations. In the future, the project intends to integrate with drones
and robots to conduct real monitoring and timely identify problems in the
agricultural sector.
It was submitted
to the “SmartSolutions Hackathon 2026” competition organized at the Incubation
Center of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) with the support of
“AzInTelecom” LLC and in partnership with the “Startup Azerbaijan” platform,
and was awarded the 2nd place in the direction of artificial intelligence and
mobility.
